You’ve hit the milestones, scaled the mountains, and checked off the “success” boxes — but somewhere along the climb, your joy got lost in the altitude. In this soul-stirring episode of The Crown Yourself Podcast, Kimberly Spencer invites you to pause, breathe, and ask the question most high achievers avoid: “Am I actually happy?”
Through personal stories, divine downloads, and transformational coaching insights, Kimberly unpacks what happens when success comes without sovereignty — and why that creates silent suffering, no matter how impressive your resume looks.
You’ll learn how to spot misalignments in your business, relationships, and purpose… before the Universe throws a brick to get your attention. Kimberly shares how her own pivot from a “successful” but misaligned agency model to a purpose-driven coaching business reignited her joy — and how you can realign your empire with your true essence.
This episode isn’t just about redefining success — it’s about reclaiming your throne, your joy, and your soul’s divine purpose. Because Queen, you didn’t come here to just succeed. You came here to reign. 👑
Kimberly Spencer:
High achievers often ask the wrong question. We ask, “What’s next?” How can I scale my next Everest? What’s the next goal? Instead of asking, “Is this path actually aligned?”
You’ve had success, but are you actually happy? That’s what we’re diving into in this episode.
Welcome to the Crown Yourself Podcast, where together we build your empire and transform your subconscious stories about what’s possible for your business, body, and life.

Kimberly Spencer:
Every time I sit down to record, I feel that surge of excitement — like, this is what I’m meant to do. For so long, I hid behind the mic. I loved the intimacy of audio, but now I’m leaning fully into video — showing up in my full presence.
That’s part of what this conversation on Aligned Success is about: being fully seen, fully expressed, and fully aligned.
As high achievers, it’s easy to focus on the next peak — the next book launch, the next award, the next sale. But rarely do we stop to ask: Is this actually aligned with who I am becoming?
Kimberly Spencer:
After my book, Make Every Podcast Want You, became a two-time gold medalist, I had to ask myself a hard question: Is the business model I’m operating in still aligned?
At the time, our sister company, Communication Queens, was thriving as a done-for-you podcast guesting agency. On paper, it was a success — but in my soul, something felt off.
Leading a team while mothering an infant and serving clients full-time was burning me out. I wasn’t leading from alignment anymore; I was leading from obligation.
When I pivoted toward more coaching, consulting, and teaching — everything changed. I felt alive again.
Aligned Success isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing what’s true.
Kimberly Spencer:
Just because you can make money in a model doesn’t mean you should.
That was a huge realization for me — and for one of my clients. She was crushing it in real estate, tripling her income, creating millions of dollars, but feeling completely unfulfilled.
She was successful — but not sovereign. Her relationship, her business model, her life were out of integrity with her deeper purpose.
After she began to realign — closing two businesses, walking away from the misaligned relationship — she messaged me saying:
“I’m not making what I used to… but I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.”
That’s Aligned Success.
Success without sovereignty will always create suffering. Realignment brings peace — and peace amplifies prosperity.
Kimberly Spencer:
I once interviewed Teresa Shirai, the founder of Blink Bar. She scaled her business from $0 to $30 million in just a few years.
By traditional standards, she’d “made it.” But later, she asked herself: Did I climb the wrong ladder?
It’s a question every leader should ask.
Because scaling isn’t always success.
Sometimes, it’s the soul saying, “Realign.”
Ask yourself: Am I climbing my own mountain, or someone else’s?
Kimberly Spencer:
The Universe whispers first. It sends pebbles. Then it sends a brick.
When we ignore the nudges, those whispers turn into wake-up calls. I’ve seen it with my clients, and I’ve lived it.
Aligned Success comes when we listen early — before life forces a breakdown to realign us with our truth.
Kimberly Spencer:
Here’s my Alignment Audit — the process I use with myself and my clients to check if we’re still on our soul’s path:
1️⃣ What am I doing out of obligation that I’ve outgrown?
2️⃣ Who taught me that this goal or value was important?
3️⃣ Is this still aligned with who I am called to become?
Approach these questions without judgment. Awareness is the first step to liberation.
Obligation builds resentment. Devotion builds momentum.
Kimberly Spencer:
When you approach your business from obligation, it drains your power. When you lead from devotion, it expands your joy and magnetism.
That shift in energy — from “I have to” to “I get to” — changes everything.
When I pivoted from agency work into coaching, the joy returned. Clients came easily. Sales felt effortless. Because I was finally aligned.
Kimberly Spencer:
Look at every area of your life — health, wealth, business, family, relationships — and rate it not by performance, but by joy.
You can be doing all the right things but still feel unfulfilled. If there’s no joy, it’s not aligned.
And no, Queen — that doesn’t mean dropping everything that doesn’t feel perfect. It means changing your relationship to it.
Joy is the compass of Aligned Success. Follow what lights you up.
Kimberly Spencer:
When I became a mom, I started replaying stories I’d learned from my parents — about what partnership “should” look like.
I realized I wasn’t asking my husband for support. I was relating to him through old programming.
Once I changed how I related — everything shifted. He was always supportive, but my story had blocked me from seeing it.
Alignment isn’t about changing others; it’s about changing how you relate to them.
Your relationships mirror your alignment. Shift the story, shift the reality.
Kimberly Spencer:
True success happens when your external achievements reflect your internal joy.
When success and fulfillment finally meet — that’s Aligned Success. That’s when your empire becomes an extension of your essence.
So, Queen — don’t chase what looks good. Choose what feels right.
Kimberly Spencer:
Your sovereignty starts when you choose alignment over achievement.
If your success feels heavy, it’s time to recalibrate. Because true queens don’t hustle harder — they lead higher.
