Have you ever walked into a room and instantly felt lighter… or completely drained?
Most people believe success is built through strategy, discipline, and hard work. But what if the energy of your environment is shaping your results just as much as your actions?
In this deeply transformative conversation, Kimberly Spencer sits down with intuitive energy stylist, author, and founder of Style Rituals, Colleen McCann, to explore the powerful connection between your space, your intuition, and the life you're creating.
From unexpected spiritual awakenings and intuitive downloads to the hidden stories stored in our homes, closets, and possessions, Colleen shares how your environment becomes a mirror reflecting your internal reality. Together, Kimberly and Colleen unpack the relationship between energetic boundaries, intuition, shadow work, manifestation, feng shui, astrology, crystals, and conscious leadership.
This isn't simply a conversation about creating a beautiful home. It's about becoming the version of yourself your future is calling forward.
You'll discover why sovereign leaders must learn to protect their energy, how intuitive discernment becomes a superpower in the Age of AI, why your possessions may be holding onto old identities, and how clearing physical clutter can unlock powerful shifts in business, relationships, abundance, and personal growth.
Whether you're deeply spiritual, energetically curious, or simply looking to create more alignment in your life and business, this episode will challenge you to look at your environment through an entirely new lens.
Because your space isn't neutral.
It's either reinforcing who you've been—or supporting who you're becoming.

Align Your Space, Intuition & Environment • Energetic Alignment • Conscious Leadership • Intuition Development • Feng Shui • Manifestation • Sovereign Leadership • Energy Clearing
What if your next breakthrough isn't hiding inside another strategy?
What if it's sitting in your environment?
Most leaders focus on mindset. Some focus on business strategy. A few focus on embodiment.
But very few stop to consider how their environment may be shaping their energy, decisions, intuition, and ultimately, their results.
In this episode of the Crown Yourself Podcast, Kimberly Spencer sits down with Colleen McCann, founder of Style Rituals and author of Crystal RX, to explore how your space, possessions, energetic boundaries, and intuition all work together to support—or sabotage—your evolution.
This conversation explores what it means to intentionally align your space, intuition, and environment so your external world reflects the leader you're becoming.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
The life you're creating is a direct reflection of the energy that you're embodying.
What if your environment, your style, your space actually shaped that energy more than you realize?
If you have ever felt like you've outgrown your current environment or knew that you were evolving, but your space, your style, your surroundings didn't quite reflect what was going on internally—or if you sensed that something needed to shift, but you couldn't quite put your finger on what needed to change—this conversation may just support that click.
In this podcast episode, we are answering the question:
How do you intentionally style your energy by aligning your mind, your body, and your space so that life begins to reflect the level that you're stepping into?
Because your environment is not neutral.
It's either reinforcing who you have been or it's supporting who you're becoming.
And when you begin to make intentional shifts in your space, your style, and your mindset, you don't just change your surroundings.
You actually change your entire state.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
Today's guest is someone who is redefining what style actually means.
Colleen McCann is the founder of Style Rituals, where she teaches leaders how to style their energy by fully aligning their mind, their body, and their space.
Her work is rooted in a powerful truth:
Creating intentional changes in your environment can profoundly transform your life on an energetic, mental, physical, and emotional level.
Because when you shift your surroundings in a meaningful way, you begin to reshape the way that you live, the experiences that you have, and even the people that you attract into your life.
Together, her work bridges environment, energy, intuition, and embodiment—helping you not just look aligned, but actually be aligned.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
Thank you so much for being here. I'd love to dive into the benefits of crystals in your space and what inspired you to write the book.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
What inspired that was a very long journey of coming from a place of skepticism, becoming crystal curious, and then becoming a believer.
I ended up being asked by HarperCollins to write a book on crystals.
What's interesting is that throughout all the modalities I studied—feng shui, shamanism, reiki, and every mystical rabbit hole I jumped into—crystals were always present.
I learned there is a crystal for everything.
Every crystal has its own lesson, message, meaning, and purpose.
They're all trying to help us in some way, whether that's in our body or in our space.
That's something I talk about in my book and something I help clients with all the time—finding the right crystal prescription depending on what's happening in their lives.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
When you walk into a home or space, what do you experience?
Especially for people in transition, what kind of clearing is necessary?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
As a highly intuitive person, I'm clairsentient, clairaudient, clairvoyant, and claircognizant.
That means I hear, see, know, and feel things that most people don't.
When I walk into a space, it feels like a tidal wave of information hitting me.
People don't call me unless they're in transition.
Sometimes that's a joyful transition—moving homes, getting married, having a baby.
Other times it's loss, divorce, death, job loss, or being forced into change.
Those transformational moments are where I tend to work.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
How did you discover your spiritual gifts?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
It's honestly a traumatic story.
About twenty years ago, I was working in fashion in New York City.
Over a period of a few weeks, my intuition volume got turned all the way up.
One night I walked into a bodega and heard a man's voice say:
"There's going to be a fight about bananas and the man will be 32 cents short."
Nobody was there.
A few moments later, exactly that happened.
A few days later, I watched what appeared to be a ghost walk through my wall and into my neighbor's apartment.
Then strangers on the subway started approaching me, telling me they had messages for me and that my life was about to change.
And I reacted exactly how you'd expect a New Yorker to react.
I basically told them to get away from me.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Eventually, someone encouraged me to visit a psychic.
I didn't give him my last name.
I didn't give him my email.
I didn't tell him why I wanted to see him.
The moment he opened the door, he looked at me and said:
"You're not crazy. You're psychic."
Then he told me:
"You'll leave fashion, leave New York, and move to California."
At the time I thought:
Absolutely not.
But eventually I left fashion.
I left New York.
And I now live in Los Angeles.
So he may have been onto something.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
After that, mentors started showing up everywhere.
I had crystal mentors.
Energy mentors.
Teachers who helped me understand what it meant to move through the world as a highly sensitive person.
I studied secretly for seven years.
I learned reiki, feng shui, tarot, astrology, shamanism, and many other modalities.
I wasn't trying to start a business.
I was trying to make it stop.
I didn't want to see dead people.
I wanted my old life back.
But the more I engaged with these gifts, the louder they became.
Eventually, Style Rituals was born.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
In the space of understanding your spiritual gifts, what practices have helped ground you in our 3D world that has a lot of noise and a lot of shadow?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
I think what's helped ground me most is having really strong boundaries.
And that's been a practice.
It's still a practice every single day.
If I get invited to three social events in one weekend, I can't do all three.
Because I'm a sensitive empath.
I go into everybody's space like a lint roller and pick up their fuzz.
I can do one social engagement over the weekend.
Not three.
Otherwise I'm completely burnt out and then I can't serve my clients during the week.
I've had to be very careful about who I spend time with, who I work with, and how much energy I allow myself to absorb.
I've even fired clients.
Boundaries are essential.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
One practice that's helped me tremendously is what I call energy dumping.
At the end of the day, I release everyone I've spoken to, hugged, worked with, or interacted with.
I'll literally bring them to mind one at a time and say:
"Thank you. I hand your energy back to you."
Because you should never hold anybody else's energy except your own.
Not your spouse.
Not your children.
Not your parents.
Not your best friend.
Nobody.
If you hold other people's energy, it affects your sleep.
It affects your thoughts.
It affects your dreams.
Before bed, I consciously return everyone's energy and call all of my own energy back to me from wherever it may be in the multiverse.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
I've worked with many empathic leaders and intuitive entrepreneurs who don't even realize how sensitive they are.
The energetic boundaries you just described are so important.
I think everyone benefits from having a collection of reset practices and discovering what works best for them.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
When you're guiding a client through a Style Ritual, do you start with the person first or the environment?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
It's different every time.
Sometimes I get intuitive information about the person.
Sometimes it's about the building.
Sometimes it's about the land.
Sometimes it's about the people who previously occupied the space.
And sometimes it's all of the above.
There are many layers to examine.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
As more people begin awakening their intuition, one question keeps coming up:
How do you distinguish intuition from impulsivity, fear, or emotional reactions?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Practice.
Thousands of readings.
Thousands of interactions.
That's how I learned.
I started recognizing that intuition speaks through my body.
For example:
If there's a spirit present, I hear a low ringing in my left ear.
If someone needs reiki, I'll suddenly experience what feels like a hot flash.
If a client has severe headaches, I'll sometimes feel one myself during a reading.
My body became one of my greatest teachers.
The more I practiced, the more I learned to trust those signals.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
A lot of people think intuition is something you're born with.
But intuition is also developed through experience.
The more you listen to it, the stronger it becomes.
The more you ignore it, the quieter it gets.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
One thing that's fascinating is that your shadow often walks through the door disguised as your client.
I see versions of my own experiences reflected back to me all the time.
I attract people who have gone through difficult awakenings.
People facing major life transitions.
People confronting identities they've outgrown.
Because I've walked through many of those experiences myself.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
My spiritual awakening shattered my reality.
It was terrifying.
It was overwhelming.
It was painful.
And now?
It's become one of my greatest gifts.
My greatest darkness became my greatest light.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
When you see your shadow now, how does it land for you?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
My shadow is my best friend.
It has to be.
When you look at your shadow, you heal.
You empower yourself.
You grow.
You stop repeating the same mistakes.
When people run away from their shadow, they're avoiding the very work that creates transformation.
They're avoiding healing.
They're avoiding growth.
They're avoiding ancestral patterns.
They're avoiding the lessons life is trying to teach them.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
I've seen this show up repeatedly with entrepreneurs.
Especially high achievers.
The businesses may look successful on the outside, but underneath there's often a shadow rooted in proving themselves, seeking validation, or chasing worthiness.
The leaders who experience the greatest transformation are the ones willing to courageously examine themselves.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
How do you see shadow work showing up in someone's environment?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
The closet is one of the biggest places.
I'll literally walk into someone's closet and scan items energetically.
I often find one item that's carrying an enormous amount of emotional energy.
It's usually something like an old t-shirt from an ex-partner.
The person can't let it go.
They're sleeping in it.
Working out in it.
Holding onto it.
And then wondering why they can't move forward.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Objects carry stories.
Some of those stories are beautiful.
Some of those stories are keeping you stuck.
If an object no longer aligns with who you're becoming, release it.
Let it go.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
After my dad passed away, I felt intuitively guided to burn one of his journals.
It was from a difficult season of his life.
At first I didn't understand why.
But something inside me knew it was time.
The moment I released it, something shifted.
Literally the next day, things in my business started moving that had felt stuck for over a year.
It was one of the most liberating experiences I've ever had.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
People don't realize how much energy objects can carry.
Keep the things that support your future.
Release the things that belong to your past.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
When you're evaluating someone's location, do you examine things like astrocartography?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Absolutely.
I'm looking at astrology.
Astrocartography.
Feng Shui.
The color of the front door.
The direction it faces.
The house number.
The landscape.
The neighborhood.
There are countless factors influencing how energy moves through a space.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Every house has a numerological vibration.
For example:
A two house often supports partnership.
A four house tends to represent stability.
A five house represents change.
A nine house represents endings.
People often wonder why certain themes keep showing up in their lives.
Sometimes their environment is reinforcing those themes.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
It's not just the house.
It's the land.
The street.
The neighborhood.
Whether you're at the end of a cul-de-sac.
Whether you're on a curve.
Whether another house is towering over yours.
All of these factors create energetic influences.
There are frameworks inside Feng Shui, Vastu, astrology, and other systems that help us understand those influences.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
For those who are new to this world, my invitation is simple:
Stay curious.
You don't need to believe everything immediately.
You don't need to understand every modality.
Just begin paying attention.
Because awareness is where intuition begins.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
One thing I've noticed in the spiritual space is that many people feel compelled to tell others what they should do.
How do you navigate permission and sharing intuitive information without creating karmic clutter?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
I try to keep it to myself unless someone asks.
If a friend calls because she needs an ear, I listen.
I don't immediately launch into:
"Well, I'm sensing this..."
Unless she directly asks.
Because this is work for me.
It's not entertainment.
And I think boundaries are incredibly important.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
I get asked all the time:
"If you saw something about a stranger in a grocery store, would you tell them?"
Absolutely not.
They didn't ask me.
I don't know them.
It's an energetic boundary.
People often say:
"I wish I could do what you do."
And I tell them:
No, you don't.
Walking around constantly sensing energy is work.
It's not a party trick.
It's not something I do casually.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
This applies to business too.
So many people want to tell you exactly how to grow your business.
Exactly what strategy to follow.
Exactly what success should look like.
But what worked for someone else may not be aligned for you.
True leadership requires discernment.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
Many healers and spiritual entrepreneurs struggle with charging for their work.
How did you navigate that?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Did I struggle with it?
Absolutely.
But I eventually realized something.
We no longer live in the world of wandering healers moving from village to village.
This is a profession.
This is a skill.
I've invested years of study and training into this work.
An energetic exchange matters.
Money is simply one form of that exchange.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
One of the biggest lessons I've learned came from my fashion career.
Your worth is not for sale.
I look at luxury brands.
They don't constantly discount themselves.
Yet in spiritual communities, there's often an expectation that healers should work for free or deeply discount their gifts.
I don't agree with that.
People don't question paying doctors.
People don't question paying therapists.
Yet somehow many healers feel guilty charging for their expertise.
That needs to change.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
As a collective, we need stronger boundaries.
What you permit, you promote.
And what you promote, you permit.
If we continuously undervalue ourselves, we teach others to undervalue us too.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
It's fascinating because historically healers were supported by communities.
The exchange existed.
It simply looked different than money.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Exactly.
Even the Oracle of Delphi received offerings.
People brought food.
Water.
Resources.
There was always an exchange.
Support has never been one-sided.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
How do we protect ourselves from projections, distortions, and charlatans?
Especially in a world where anyone can claim expertise online.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
The first thing I look at is someone's story.
Have they done their work?
Have they studied?
Who taught them?
What lineage are they connected to?
There are thousands of roads up the mountain.
There isn't one right path.
But I think it's important to know where someone learned what they're teaching.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
I know this will probably become a quote.
Muggles love paperwork.
And honestly, sometimes that's okay.
It's okay to ask questions.
It's okay to understand someone's training.
It's okay to explore their background.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
At the end of the day, I also trust my intuition.
Sometimes I simply get an ick.
The important question becomes:
Is this person simply not for me?
Or is there something deeper that feels misaligned?
That's discernment.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
Discernment feels more important than ever in the Age of AI.
How have you sharpened your own discernment?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
By listening to my intuition.
That's honestly it.
There were many times earlier in my life when I felt something wasn't right.
And I ignored it.
Then life would teach me the lesson anyway.
Eventually I learned.
When intuition whispers, listen.
Before life starts shouting.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
The more you trust your intuition, the stronger it becomes.
The more you ignore it, the more difficult it becomes to hear.
Discernment isn't built by gathering more information.
Discernment is built by honoring what you already know.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
Some people believe that success, fame, or visibility automatically requires darkness.
Have you seen that?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
No.
Absolutely not.
There are kind-hearted people in every industry.
And there are people who need to do some shadow work in every industry.
Hollywood isn't unique.
Fashion isn't unique.
Business isn't unique.
Human beings are human beings.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
What are a few practical steps people can take to clear their energy, clean their temple, and create a more aligned environment?
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Number one:
Look in the mirror and be honest with yourself.
Admit where you have work to do.
Because the work never ends.
If you meet someone who claims they've healed everything and transcended everything, run.
If you're in a human body, you're still doing your work.
Always.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
We're all onions.
We keep peeling layers.
A new lesson appears.
A new opportunity for healing appears.
And we keep growing.
That's life.
Colleen McCann (Guest):
Within your home, look at your possessions.
Ask yourself:
Does this still belong in the life I'm creating?
If not, release it.
Whether it's clothing.
Furniture.
Jewelry.
Plants.
Whatever it is.
Let it go.
Let it live another life somewhere else.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
One of the strongest intuitive experiences I had happened after moving into our Texas home.
There was a piano we'd brought from California.
One day I looked at it and immediately felt:
We need to get rid of this.
I questioned myself.
I asked whether it was anxiety.
Pregnancy hormones.
Fear.
But the feeling persisted.
The next day a leak appeared directly above the piano.
We fixed it.
A week later, before we'd moved the piano, another leak appeared.
Again.
At that point I laughed and thought:
Okay Universe.
Message received.
The piano left.
And the lesson stayed.
Everything carries energy.

This conversation reminds us that alignment isn't just about mindset.
It's about the environments we inhabit.
The stories we carry.
The possessions we keep.
The boundaries we honor.
The intuition we trust.
And the shadows we're willing to face.
As sovereign leaders, our next level isn't always found in doing more.
Sometimes it's found in releasing more.
Because your environment is not neutral.
It's either reinforcing who you've been...
Or supporting who you're becoming.
Kimberly Spencer (Host):
